Common use

Snovitra tablets are a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. The active ingredient in Snovitra is vardenafil, which belongs to a class of drugs known as phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. Vardenafil works by increasing blood flow to the penis, thereby helping men achieve and maintain an erection during sexual activity.

Dosage and direction

Snovitra is usually taken orally, about 30-60 minutes before sexual activity. The tablet should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. The effects of vardenafil can last for up to 4-6 hours, providing a window of time during which the medication can facilitate erections. It’s important to note that sexual stimulation is still required for vardenafil to work effectively, as the medication does not induce an erection without arousal.

Contraindications

Snovitra contains vardenafil, a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor, there are several warnings and precautions that individuals should be aware of before using this medication:
Individuals with a history of cardiovascular disease, including recent heart attacks or strokes, should consult their healthcare provider before using Snovitra.
Use caution in individuals with hypotension or those taking medications that can lower blood pressure.
Individuals with a known allergic reactions (hypersensitivity) to vardenafil or other components of Snovitra should avoid using the medication.
Concomitant use of vardenafil with alpha-blockers or nitrates can lead to a significant drop in blood pressure. Avoid combining these medications unless advised by a healthcare provider.
Vardenafil has been associated with a prolongation of the QT interval. Caution is advised in individuals with a history of QT prolongation or those taking medications that can prolong the QT interval.
Avoid consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice while using Snovitra, as it may increase the risk of side effects.

Serious Side Effects: Priapism; Sudden Vision Loss; Sudden Hearing Loss; Allergic Reactions; Hypotension (Low Blood Pressure); Arrhythmia (Irregular Heartbeat); Seizures; Stroke; Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA); Increased Intraocular Pressure.

Drug interaction

Snovitra may interact with other medicines you are already taking and this interaction can produce some adverse effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Always discuss with your doctor if you are on Vitamins, other Drugs or Herbal Supplements. It interacts with the following medicines: Amlodipine; Carbamazepine; Ketoconazole; Phenytoin; Nitroglycerin; Cimetidine.

Missed dose

Do not take Snovitra more than once in a day and only take it when you need it especially before the sexual relation.

Overdose

You must call your doctor or reach nearby medical facility immediately if you are suspecting any symptoms due to overdose like a prolonged erection, hot flushing, loss of hearing, dizziness.

Storage

Store the Snovitra at room temperature in dark, clean and dry place. Keep the tablet out of reach and sight of the children.
